You Be the Judge Pasty Bake-Off

This is your chance to taste a pasty from each vendor present at Pasty Fest 2024. This year's competitors will each submit 100 - 4oz pasties, our volunteers will carefully label each entrant's pasties  (so we know whose is whose but no one else will - with a colored toothpick).

STEP 1: BUY A KIT

Visit the Bake-Off Booth (located at 5th & Oak) Main Street Calumet a get your judges' kit for $40*. The kit contains one delectable delight from each vendor. Each 4oz pasty is uniquely marked (with a special toothpick) to identify its maker.

STEP 2: TASTE THE PASTY RAINBOW

Your job is to taste each pasty and hold on to the toothpick from the pasty your liked best. Pasties may be Copper Country, Cornish, or non-traditional in style but all are bound to be delicious!

STEP 3: SELECT YOUR WINNER

Turn in your toothpick at the Bake-Off Booth once you've made your decision. When  we've compiled the data we will announce the winner!!

*price of each pasty kit is subject to change depending on the number of entrants and thus pasties in the kit. 2024 has 9 entries!

Want to Compete?

 As pasties will be sold to the public they must be made in a commercial kitchen and arrive HOT to the event. Most participants will also be vending full sized versions of their pasties at the event. Vendors who contribute 100 mini pasties will have their vendor fee waived. If you would like to participate in the Bake-Off or vend pasties please let us know!
