Hear ye, musicians, poets, and lyrical jesters of the Upper Peninsula!
In honor of this year’s renaissance-themed Pasty Fest, Main Street Calumet invites thee to compose a tune, pen a ballad, or croon an ode to our region’s most beloved treasure: the pasty. This contest is open to performers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you sing solo, strum a lute (or a guitar), or simply wish to share your original pasty-themed lyrics, your voice belongs in this celebration of local flavor and creativity. All entrants are invited to perform their work live at our Open Mic Night at Eva’s Hideaway on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 7pm. One grand prize winner shall be chosen ($150 Keweenaw Cash) by the Pasty Fest Planning Committee and honored during the festival on Saturday, August 16. With your permission, selected submissions will also be featured on our digital Pasty Fest Album: a collection of songs and stories celebrating the crusty cornerstone of Copper Country cuisine. Attend the Gathering! All are invited to lend their voices and perform their unique tunes! This gathering shall take place at the renowned Eva's Hideaway, (211 7th St, Calumet) on August 15th at 7pm-8pm, under the stewardship of the gracious Hannah Stone and the honorable Rachael Pressley.
